📖 How to Use HushBox

Welcome to HushBox! Here's a complete guide to help you get started and make the most of all features.

📝 Create an Account

Go to the Sign Up page and create your account using your email address. Choose a secure password (minimum 6 characters). You can also sign up with Google for convenience.

💡 Tip: Use a strong, unique password for better security.

🔑 Log In

Use your email and password to log in. If you forget your password, click "Forgot Password" to reset it via email. You'll receive an OTP to verify your identity.

💡 Tip: After 7 failed login attempts, your account will be temporarily blocked for 12 minutes.

✍️ Send a Hush

On the Home page, write your anonymous message in the composer. Add a title (optional) and your message body. Click "Write a Hush" to publish it.

💡 Tip: Free users get 15 messages/day with 350 characters each. Premium users get more!

⚠️ Don't: Share personal information or use hate speech. Messages are public.

💬 Reply to a Hush

Click the "Reply" button on any hush to reply anonymously. Your reply will appear in the hush's reply section. Premium users can see who replied to their hushes.

💡 Tip: Replies are anonymous by default. Premium users see sender names.

❤️ React to a Hush

Use the reaction buttons (❤️ 😂 😮 😢 🔥 👍 👏 💯) on any hush to show your reaction. Click again to remove your reaction. Reactions are visible to everyone.

💡 Tip: Reactions help show appreciation without typing a reply.

📬 View Your Inbox

Go to the Inbox page to see all replies to your hushes. You can view, delete, or save replies as PNG images.

💡 Tip: Inbox shows replies from all your hushes in one place.

📊 View Your History

The History page shows all your sent messages. Click any hush to view its full details with all replies. Premium users see reply senders' names.

💡 Tip: Free users can delete up to 3 messages/day. Premium users get more.

👤 Manage Your Profile

On the Profile page, you can update your display name, email, and avatar emoji. You can also change your password. Free users get 4 profile edits per month.

💡 Tip: Premium users get 20 profile edits per month and custom URL.

⚠️ Don't: Use reserved usernames (Martony, martony_zinx) else your account may be blocked.

⭐ Upgrade to Premium

Visit the Premium page to upgrade to Pro (₦1,000/month) or Lite (₦300/week). Enjoy more messages, more characters, custom branding, and no ads. Payment is secure via Paystack.

💡 Tip: Pro users get 300 messages/day, 1,100 characters, and custom URL.

⚠️ Don't: Try to bypass payment. Our firewall detects and blocks bypass attempts.

📤 Share a Hush

Click the "Share" button on any hush to share it on social media (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram). You can also copy the link or save as PNG.

💡 Tip: PNG export creates a beautiful image with your profile and branding.

No Personal Data Storage: We do not store any personally identifiable information (PII) in association with your messages.
Anonymous by Design: All messages are anonymous. We do not track who sends what.
End-to-End Encryption: Your messages are encrypted during transmission and storage.
Data Deletion: You can delete your messages and account at any time. All associated data is permanently removed.
Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties.
Cookies: We use minimal cookies for session management only.
